Birthday celebrations!

Peekaboo!
Haven't been blogging much for the past two weeks? Wasn't much active with any pictures taking, let alone trying to recover from my super stubborn cough.
Officially I am sick for one week, and it doesn't seem to get any better. The best I stopped coughing is like for ten minutes before the coughing resume. And that's after taking medicine.
Else now is with flu which doesn't make it any better either. Yet, best news, I'm not staying in bed to rest but keep going out to meet social calendar, school stuffs and driving.

Anyway, this week we had two birthday celebration in class. Two of my classmates are having their birthdays in the same week! One being my 'grand-daughter' and the other being my 'daughter'.

That's our first cake. A simple cake with fruits topping! We should have like gotten a veggie cake for her instead. Hahah.
And the following day, or rather that afternoon, I baked a cake too!Planning to bring it to class for everyone to have a slice.

My first time baking cheesecake. Apart from the previous time of doing oreo cheesecake, but this time the cheesecake is getting baked.
Wasn't too sure how the result would be like, and I'm super nervous about it, the whole time the cake is inside the oven. When the cheesecake first came out of the oven, I wasn't sure how to feel. The top was slightly burnt and like the color layers weren't that uniform.
Was in agony and was debating whether I should still bring it to class. Shawn was telling me what to do to save the top layer, such as adding egg white. But I just didn't want to do anything with the cake already, not even slicing the top off so it won't be so burnt.

Eventually you know that it's the thoughts that counts.
And also celebrating the birthday together that is more important. Plus after the cheesecake got cut, the color inside looks not too bad.
But nah, I think next time I would stick to normal cheesecake without any rainbow colors. Hahah!

So that's cakes overload in two days.
Now for the fun weekend ahead!

And kitty back on her dessert diet again. A spam of dessert three times this week. Definitely couldn't be any happier than this.
Tried this waffles shop inside Cathay after we were done watching World War Z.
Turned out to be awesome, and with a choice of sweet and savory choices, it suited Box and mine's taste; one being a sweet tooth and one isn't.
Next time just might try their sinful chocolate waffles, which I had to resist ordering it this time. Though the chicken floss waffles looks super interesting as well. I mean chicken floss on waffles?!

That's all the short update I have right now. Back to essay writing and later a fun event! Stay tune for the pictures.
