Dessert Buffet @ The Food Dot

Following back on a my dessert diet. I finally found the time to head down to The Food Dot for my long awaited dessert buffet.
Secret but I actually bought this deal since last month, planning to bring Mummy here for Mothers' Day.
Unfortunately, we kept postponing the date until Wednesday. In the end, it became a combine lunch of celebrating belated Mothers' Day and advanced Father's Day. Kind of like killing two birds with one stone. Lol!

The dessert buffet starts from 1.30pm to 5.30pm, last order being at 5pm.
We arrived there a little too early, but the staffs still allow us to start the dessert buffet early. Starving the whole morning for this buffet, I wasn't prepared for the dessert that they were able to bring in.

But when they brought in these two wooden planks of desserts, I was speechless.
The decoration blew me away and I was just shocked, amazed at how they present the dessert to us. To the extent of having the utensils layout in icing sugar.

Currently they are having a promotion on their dessert buffet. Instead of the usual price of $38, now it's $16.90.
For me, I paid $9.90! So let's do the math; in total, the meal costed $19.80 for Mummy and I. There were 9 different types of dessert given, together with free flow of lychee peach tea and lychee apple tea and ice cream. I'll say buying the deal is definitely worth it!
At the beginning, I didn't know that we had two different types of tea to drink, until one time they refill the jar and it tasted different. That's when we learned that they let us drink two types of tea.
Personally the lychee peach tea was pretty sweet, while the lychee apple was more refreshing.

My favorite of the lot.
Bananas muffin (that's what I shall nicknamed it). And together with a little sweet caramel sauce. I was immediately won over from the first bite.
And even ordered it again for a refill.
A little bias as well, since I'm a bad sucker for good bananas muffin.

Overly chocolate muffin!
To-die-for.
Super moist chocolate cake.

One surprising thing I learn from this muffin is that they added tomato sauce on top.
Didn't think that would actually go nice with muffin but amazingly, it did! On the first bite, I actually didn't think it was tomato sauce that I was having.
Until I scoop the redness off and taste it on my own, that's when I realize it was tomato sauce. Who knew.
Second favorite of the lot.

Mummy enjoying her lychee peach tea.
And they even include little bits of lychee inside the tea for you to enjoy.
Definitely a place perfect for chilling out with friends and having simple desserts. At the same time, a good hiding place from the heat.
While having our dessert lunch, behind us we were seeing the bakers inside the pastry baking the green apple oatmeal muffin.
Almost wanted to request if I could join them. Lol.

The dessert buffet ended with unlimited scoops of ice cream.
Chose the mint ice cream while Mummy went with mango.
Added with icing sugar cubes and cranberry, it gave the ice cream additional taste while mixing the flavors together.

That's one meal I went super overboard with sweetness. And to think the night before I had a lot of dessert as well. This is bad bad bad, even for a sweet tooth like me.
Overall, I do enjoy the dessert that they have for us, and for that price it's definitely worth every cent. Very relaxing atmosphere and the staffs were friendly to our needs, ensuring that they always keep the jar refill and asked if we needed any refill of any desserts.

A bit detour, but here to more dessert pictures! That's how much sweetness is currently inside me.

Probably going to resume my high protein diet already.
Goodbye to dessert for a while (like real!).
